Kairos / planning & support renewal of the power supply - boat building tips & tricks

CROATIA - 2023 - 2024

A new power supply concept with lithium batteries and a large solar system was developed for this Lagoon 38. I created electrical drawings, suggested device positioning and helped the customer analyze the existing wiring.

The system is based on Victron Energy components and can be fully monitored and configured remotely.

The customer carried out the entire installation himself using electrical and installation plans, he was supported via e-support.

The customer was also provided with tips and tricks in the areas of boat building and maintenance.

This project is a good example of what is possible today with remote support and appropriate technologies.

With technical experience, but basic electrical knowledge, the power supply was our trouble kid.

Finding a suitable partner turned out to be difficult. Until I came across the website of Silvio and y-tronics.com. The first contact and an initial online meeting were soon behind us. And the project could begin.

With a handful of photos, dimensioned sketches and the components already procured, Silvio drew up an overall concept, including the installation layout. The clear installation plans then helped me with the implementation and the initial question marks quickly disappeared or were resolved by Silvio during the installation.

We now live on our floating home and are completely satisfied with our energy supply.

We are of the opinion that we could not have done better with y-tronics and Silvio.
We are very grateful for Silvio's professional support and would recommend his services at any time.

developing support BoatSafeGuard

SWITZERLAND 2023 to

For the development of the yacht monitoring system "Boat Safe Guard", I bring in my whole experience into the features development.

The focus of my assistance is in the range of functions, the display design and testing of the device.

The device monitors the most important values on a yacht, from the batteries, shore power, engines, bilges, anchors, intrusion, air pressure and tanks.
Interfaces enable the integration of an external alarm and offer switching options via a relay module.

Leopard

CARIBBEAN - WINTER 2017

A 1.1kW solar system with three separate solar controllers was installed on this Leopard 48. A new inverter/charger unit was also installed
All system components were connected via a new battery management and system display and visualized graphically on a display. All components are clearly presented. The system can also be remotely monitored via the VRM portal. This means the user always knows about the energy system on board.

lucky punch / solar railbar 450wp

CROATIA - WINTER 2016

The power supply on board this cruising yacht has been optimized. The heart is a solar system with 450Wp. 4 Solbian 112W flex panels were mounted on a curved 40mm stainless steel railbar. The panels are a full 6mm high with the support plate, making them visually very elegant. The charging is regulated via 3 Victron BlueSolar MPPT controllers and a Votronic MPPT duo. This ensures optimal charging even in shady conditions and the starter battery is also charged.

gemma von arth / ferry lake lauerz

SWITZERLAND - WINTER 2016

On this aluminum ferry with 7kW electric drive, the underwater hull was renovated after corrosion problems, an isolation transformer was installed, the 520Wp solar panels were put back into operation, and minor adjustments were made to the charging technology. Hull potential measurements were also carried out. Now the ferry makes its way to the island in sunshine, using pure solar energy. It also no longer needs to be constantly charged with shore power.
